The Enemy Invasion

I have an enemy intruder in our home!
They:
  • Are frequently in the kitchen but do not clean up their whole mess.
  • Leave the high chair dirty and hard to clean.
  • Leave the back door open so Maggie can escape and I can chase her down the street in my bath rob.
  • Leave the toilet lid up so that Wesley can play in the yucky water and make a mess.
  • Use up all my gas and don't replace it.
  • Waste My Time!
  • Lock my keys in the house.
  • Leaves undone jobs in the living room.
  • Leaves shoes out in the entry way for me to stumble on.

Waite my worst enemy is MYSELF!!! Yep I am doing it to myself. I am the enemy right now. Just when I think that I can't get much busier, I realize I was WRONG!! I have so much to do with work, home and everything. I tend to get a bit overwhelmed sometimes, this is one of those times. You probably are asking "Why if you are so busy why are you typing a blog?". Well they say that writing is therapy, I am hoping that, that is the case here. I am hoping to make light of this stress, hopefully it will lift my spirits. I already feel a bit better.

Wesley on the other hand is still getting over his last sickness. I have been lucky he hasn't really been sick ever, just a few colds, so this was a change. He just wanted Mommy and was so sweet to share his germs. The only thing that would make him feel better or get him to sleep was his blankie and my lap sometimes. Good thing his blankie can go in the crib or we'd be in trouble! I sometimes wish I had a magic blankie to make the scary things in the world more bearable! He is feeling better though, except we are getting more pesky teeth.

Right now he loves:
  • His play shovel
  • His Ball
  • To show his teeth
  • His Blankie
  • Cottage Cheese, Green Beans & Carrots
  • Outside & Dirt
  • Mommy's Old Ties
  • Leaves
  • Giving Kisses to Mommy, Maggie, & Daddy
  • Pointing at Pictures so you will narrate the picture (He'll point at people in photos for hours, just ask my parents. He really loves to point out himself the most.)

I need to capture a picture of his new silly faces. None of the photos I have capture the true face. He does this silly grin and shows his bottom teeth, it is usually followed by a cute giggle. He also does this one eye open face it is a cross between a happy pirate & Popeye. He makes me laugh. Right now he loves my old Olive Garden Ties (I kept the clean unused ones). I only have a couple left he digs them out of my closet, puts them around his neck and admires himself in the mirror, it is too funny. Mind you neither Levi or I never need to wear a tie, so the fact that he knows to put it around his neck is amusing. Maybe he has put 2 and 2 together from work, all my bosses are men and wear ties... maybe?

He is also saying "Dog" now. Every animal is a dog also. The baby with pigtails, crawling on all 4s on the Huggies Diaper box... a Dog it is cute. He can also take his pants off. Luckily this has only happened in the privacy of our own home. I'll go into the living room and there is Wesley across the room with his pants on the other side. Or he'll take them off and throw them over his crib. He hasn't done it in a few days, maybe he has forgotten how... I should not be so lucky I am sure. He is also blowing kisses occasionally. He still will wave only when he wants to, and hasn't taken a real step yet.

It has been awhile since I have taken pictures of him. He moves too quickly these days. He reminds me of a song I love "Slow Down Everyone Your Movin Too Fast Frames Can't Catch You When You're Movin Like That..." With Technology these days I didn't think anyone could move faster than the shutter... Guess I was wrong. Here are a few snap shots. I need to take real pictures soon. Well he is up from his nap, so long!

Wesley with one of Mommy's Ties. Will he be political businessman? The tie looks like it!

We were at the park, I said "smile" He gave me his weird grin.

He loves his baby Bible! He seems to like Daniel and the Lions Den the best.

WOW I am glad to see you are alive, barely but alive. J/K You need to slow down once in awhile. I am very familiar with that very same intruder at my house. Please tell me how to stop her. LOL that was a cute blog.

Um that intruder sounds horrible! But maybe you are enjoying Wesley instead of being neat and perfect...I would love to see you chase Maggie down the street in your bath robe...That would be funny! Hum....when we come down I think I will accidently leave the door open....
