Time for an update.

Well Wesley is 15 months old now! Can you believe it? People at work keep saying "oh he's like 10 months right?" No try 15. I know 5 months normally wouldn't seem like much but in babyland it is! Time is flyin by. He is so adorable, lovable, kissable...!! I love him to pieces. He makes me laugh a million times a day mostly on the inside. I can't show him that everything he does is funny, even though it is!

He has grown. He is 1 1/4 inches longer that his 12 month appointment. He is 29 3/4 inches. He weighs less though. He is 19lbs. 11oz, last appointment he was 19lbs. 14oz. Close, but still he is a small lil guy:) I love it!

What to tell you about? Well he is quite the walker now. This is new. He has been able to walk for several weeks now, but he has now decided he kind of likes it. The other night Levi and I were in the dinning room and here comes Wesley walking right up to us! We were saying "Yeah"... We were thinking "Oh No!". I wish I could put into words how he turns corners, it is so funny. You have to see it to understand. He like turns into a crab and kind of walks side ways... hard to explain but entertaining to watch. Today was the first day I didn't see him crawl at all. He is also expanding his vocabulary. He says "Dog" really clearly now. He can say a few others too like: "Gar", "Guak" (walk), "Bap" (ball), "Bye Bye" as you can see some of those are his own words for things like Ball... Still we understand him so I consider it a word. This morning he was looking for Maggie while he was eating breakfast and he looks at me and said "Dog?". It was so cute, he was wondering where she was at. The babysitter says he says Momma and Dadda, but when we ask him to say those words he just laughs at us. Silly boy. He is probably like why should I say your name you are right here.
He is a dancin machine. You should see his moves:). They are pretty much the same thing over and over again, but he is great at pumping his arms up and down.
I am trying to work on word association with him. Like drink and snack. The whimpering to get what he wants sometimes just drives me crazy. I didn't teach him sign language because I was afraid it would affect his verbal interaction, but right now the whines and whimpers are driving me nuts... use your words! Ok I am not going to lose it like that sounds but no one wants to hear whines and cries all day, I am sure you understand. Onc day he will turn to me and said "Mother May I have a Dink, Please..." My jaw will drop and I'll get it right away... yes this will be a dream.

I stayed home for a few days this week. I got a glimpse into full time domestic life, let me tell you it is just as busy! I didn't get all the rest I was hoping for and didn't get my to do list done either. It was the break I needed though. Wesley enjoyed having me home. The first day I was determined to have a good day with him so I took him to the park. He cried on the slide, the swing and the play car. Who cries at the park? He just wanted me to hold him that was it. Lately he seems to take his fussiness out on me, that is why I was hoping to have a great day with him. No, still fussed. Day 2 and 3 were much better. He is getting more attached though, it is more fun to sit in mommies lap to play then by himself. This photo we took a stab and using a spoon all by himself, he did pretty good. I would clap everything time he did a good job. One time I chose to take a picture instead so he set down his spoon and clapped since I didn't. See things like that crack me up!

Funny Story: So the other night at work (my first night back) I was walking threw our hall between the bar and that bathrooms. I passed this gentleman and smiled of course, then for some odd reason I make a lip smacking pop type sound. Something I would do to make Wesley laugh. I do this sometimes, forget I am in the company of adults. It was loud and awkward. The guy was nearly passed me and I didn't see his face when I made that noise but I was still utterly embarrassed! It was the like the one night I was talking to my best friend on the phone and said "Oh yay" and clapped... I was on the phone! With an adult! I know I will have a million more of these type stories by the time my baby life is up. I'll share them as they happen.

Below are some photos of family play time. See what a cutie he is... he peaked under Levi's arm at me... "Does she look the same at this angle?"

Hey at least you didn't wipe the guys face, or ask him if he needed his diaper changed:)...I have been known to do geeky things like that to entertain little ones and forget when they aren't there...
